Ontario Fishing Map Project 
The internet was originally designed as a tool for scientists to exchange and share scientific information... and fishing tips.  The Ontario Fishing Map Project is an ambitious effort to encourage anglers across Ontario to share information about their favourite lakes so that other anglers can enjoy them as well.  

The goal is to have all of Ontario substantially covered by fishing maps.   We have a long way to go.  If you have tips for where to fish on these lakes, identify the spot on the grid and send me an email so I can incorporate your suggestion into the map.

What your email could say...

Here's how a typical email could go from someone who has a tip about where to fish on a map...

"Hey Fishhawk Dude,  me and my buds fished Lake Muskoka last summer and caught a mess of largemouth around these islands at the top of C3.  We were using black power worms in weeds 6 or 7 feet deep.  Thanks a bunch Fishhawk dude, you're the coolest!"

I'll take my magic marker and show C3 on the map as being a spot where largemouth have been known to hang out.  The map will be updated with your tip within days.
