Back we went, for more adventures ...
It was cold. We had snow, sleet, ice pellets, and wind.
The first pic is the lake under seige... hard to see the snow but it stung if it hit your face...
We decided to go out in the morning but canoeing in snow and wind is not much fun so we took naps in the afternoon waiting for the weather to improve.
It did, sunny and warmer in the afternoon so out we went. We saw some brookies rising and caught a couple right away... Then we went exploring.
Some of the smaller brookies we caught. Biggest was of the weekend was around 14.
The bacon delivery system was improved upon (stop drooling wolfe!)
We also went to a second lake during the break in the weather. Couple of hours of sun... beautiful...
and the best part is is the scenery...
Finally, I have a message for the brookies.
This is brookie water ! next time be there ok ? You like wood, wood is good... here is some wood, you should live here !
It would save us all sorts of time canoeing around the lake looking for ya, if you would just stick to the wood . That would be grand!
if any of you fish-hawkers encounter any brookies on your travels, please pass the message along, I'm getting too old to paddle all day long ...
Thanks. |

I like the pic with the tall leaning tree.
(either that or someone was cutting it down while the pic was taken) |

Sorry, jsdx, I drooled anyway, despite your admonition! Oh, did that b'fast sandwich ever look good! I'm starving for some rich, fatty foods (bacon!) 24/7!
Seriously, those pictures were stunning. What a beautiful park. I'll have to get back some day.
Too funny about the "you love wood, here's some wood...!"
...and snow in May. Can't stand it!
