Re: Tournament Fisherman?

Tournaments like BAA (competitive as all hell but fun with a low entry fee) have not had issues filling a field of 30 boats in recent years. It even looks to be trying expand to 40 teams this year. OVSB has had a healthy amount of anglers for the last few years as well. The area that seems to be st...

Re: Fishing show in Ottawa?

Just spent two days in the Pirate Cove Marina booth at the Boat Show. WOW. Busiest I've seen the "show" in years and LOTS of new Lund owners. SO great to see.

Re: Open water fishing...

April 1st is my bet. I bet we still get a little blast of winter yet. I'll be ice fishing for a few weeks yet but caution everyone to really pay attention and treat it differently than years past. We certainly don't have a base of 3 plus feet of ice we normally do at late ice and I suspect some more...

Re: DIY fishing Cuba- Part 2 of 3 Kayak fishing

Great stuff Chris. Thanks for sharing. Cuba is one of my most favorite places in the world. I'm nowhere near as ambitious as you on out trips though!

Re: Fishing show in Ottawa?

There’s simply no demand. BINGO. Ye we all loved walking around the Carp show in its heyday but how much money really went thru the tills at the show? I can tell you at the end, NOT MUCH. Online sales and store loyalty (which is great!) pretty much killed it. The upfront cost for a store to pack al...

Re: Cameras?

When I know I'm camping in one spot for the day I'll usually setup the camera. it's incredible what you can learn from watching what's going on down there. Your jigging technique will 100% change once you watch your presenting down below. In the video I put out last week it had some Perch footage. T...

Some Southern Exposure...

Just settling back in to some normalcy after the longest break I've taken in about 30 years...19 days off. It was nice to kick back for that time with friends and family in the sunny South. First trip was to Cuba. Joining us this year on our annual trip was our regular travel partners Markus and his...

Re: HT 2017 Ice Tour - Sail Ottawa, Saturday February 11th

t was not complaining, i just did not want to make the trip for nothing. Don't think R.J meant you Kevin... he was directing that more likely to the inevitable thread that would start this year with folks complaining the show didn't contain enough fishing stuff (myself included!  ) now i...
