Re: white lake

Not sure about the main lake by I saw on Adam's last post that he had his shacks and bungalows along the shoreline ice. You could always give them a call and find out more.

Re: Carpet cleaner

Hydrogen peroxide will break down blood. Also Sport Wash by Atsko works well on clothing for blood so I imagine it will work well on carpet.

Re: Shirleys Hardwater Decline

Was talking about this with a couple guys recently. We can't figure out why guys still go there at all. Other than the proximity to the city the fishing is fair at best. RJ I know I'm repeating myself but, IMO that's because, like anywhere really, it's all about location and structure when it comes...

There used to be a lot more huts out there too spread all over the bay even out as far as the point. Back then there ...

Re: Ice Fishing Information

Lots of lakes to the west of town, starting with Constance, Mississippi, Taylor/Clayton, White Lake, Big Rideau... Seeing as you are new to this, you may want to try using an outfitter like Yannick at http://www.ottawariverfishing.ca/ in the east or to the west at White Lake with Adam at https://www...

Re: Minnow Alternatives For Ice Fishing in Quebec

One other thing, the Ministry put out a press release a couple of weeks ago saying that to encourage more angling opportunities, any Quebec resident can ice fish during the “ winter fishing “ period without a license, as long as they expect the regular regulations. I don’t agree with it, but it is ...

Re: Minnow Alternatives For Ice Fishing in Quebec

You can use dead minnows for the “ winter fishing “ period in Quebec from December 20 until March 31. I salted my own smelts last year and it worked prettt good. Pretty sure you are wrong there. Use of any minnows dead or alive is now prohibited. Cheers Actually, I’m pretty sure I’m right, unless t...
