Thanks Grumpy, wife had bought tickets for me an my two boys in baltimore next week. I was feeling bad because we had to cancel since I am in process of moving. But after reading what you said, I do not feel so bad.

PS: Moving to North Poconos, so canada is much closer... :)

Hi All, I must say it was the first time I ever went walleye fishing and I doubt that I will do any better. Many thanks to Fishhawk, Bobber and all the other hawkers in putting up a great weekend. Special thanks to Roughrider, Grumpy, John, Big-O, and Topwater for making the trip so enjoyable and ed...

Some fish are definately attracted to lights. If fact people install lights on their transom. Guess it is legal down here. As for walleye, I have seen alot of glow baits on market.

Scooter,

Awesome job... Looks great... This probably has been the most interesting post this year.

Markus,
I see you point about ice and fiberglass. Probably will not be doing much fishing in that weather. Although current boat has much deeper grooves in the flooring.

My friend redid his 26' doral with a tile installed by the boat top guy. You can mop it out at the end of the day and it's non slip love it, a thought for you guys. Man we need a boat forum to discuss these things! That ran through my brain too. Previous boat was fiberglass with snap in carpet in c...

Bouncing? Guess between my boat's weight and straps I do not experience any bouncing. Does look cool though. Does if flip down from motor to transom? I ask dealer about putting transom saver on mine but they said I did not need to because of the lock I have built in to the HONDA. We can discuss merc...

I have only fished Charleston in June, I can tell you where they were. I would say around flat island there is a large weed flat with dropoffs. Also on the southern end of wolfe island we pulled some piggies out. Best bet is to ask Ganman, he probably has some good tips. By the way, where has ganman...

Based on the size of boat you are talking about, you should be fine. Get the tranny cooler and do not use overdrive like mikey said. A fiberglass boat or a composite boat like mine is much heavier than tin one. It definately sounds like you have something to work with. I had to by the tow vechicle b...
