What make of trolling motor is it? I also have a quick release mounting bracket(Minn Kota) that you have(had). Sorry your unit got gone by the way.OUCH! Use a trailer hitch pin lock. The small kind of coupler lock should fit through the bracket hole. No one can open them(easily) and your trolling mo...

Go to the Bass Pro Shops website to take a look at the two main kinds of different seat post receivers. Other sites have them for sale too. It will show you unit to install and you'll be able to judge which is better for your setup. I have one in the front of my boat and one in the rear. Mine are th...

Sounds like the rollers or bunks are not set up right.
I'd look at that first to find the problem. It has to be an engineering/setup problem.
Good luck,

Difference is that a flasher is a flasher and a lcd is a lcd. Two different animals. Sort of like an apple and an orange comparison. Falshers are generally used while running down the lake. They are usually used ice fishing and for seeing depth of objects mostly. LCDs however have many more options ...

Great catch Almonte.
I knew you had it in you to cast away and get one. Told ya they work well casting too.
Sorry about the camera though.
The "fishing on your wedding day" part is great.
Good luck and congrats on the wedding and the fish!

Good one Trophy and very very true Monster.
If you catch a muskie it could smell musky.

Good one Craig. Funnnny! Like Nips and others said. Don't try to bomb large baits out there. Just lob a bit and see what happens then adjust the cast. Also make sure you have the casting dial adjusted for the weight of the lures. (I imagine you're using baitcasting reels). Large crankbaits are great...

Ya, I've had a skunked report too. Was out trolling and casting to fav spots but no muskie to be seen. Mind you I was only out two hours. I did however see one right on bottom on my Hummingbird. Weird to see it on the electronics. Only ever happened once like that. It looked neat. Like a log or tree...

I know there's no harm in posting where I got my Muskie because all of us real Muskie fishermen are all conservation minded and catch and release all of our fish anyway. Actually I've been fishing steady for over 30 years all over Ontario and have kept very few fish. I know I could but I'd rather se...

Hey again Stacy. We've been hit and miss on the Muskie out here (You know where you've seen me). I did get two 42's this year and conjured up some really big fish and my fishing partner got a nice 49 1/2" early season. I see that you're in the Muskie show out in St. Catherines next spring. Good...

Keep at it TBone. I've had lots of fun and caught plenty of fish from shore including some lunkers. Plus it's just a great outing to see new places and a good way to check out the water and see how weeds are growing and what is happening nearby. Keep a camera on you as you'll always find something t...

Too Much Information! Apparently I've been told off by a Fish Hawk member for quote,"mentioning the names of small lakes". Not sure what the deal is about it all because it doesn't make any difference who knows what lakes that different fish are caught on. It doesn't affect the sport at al...

Typically no, but some will bite in certain situations. Like the sun-warmed shallows we've had from the great weather lately. That may have had them more active at this time of year when the are generally slow moving and finicky biting. I was moving the baits extra slow though. The Bucher Slopmaster...
