Quebec Salmon
Hi All, just wondering if anyone here has experience in Quebec for salmon and/or sea trout. I would like to find a spot that's decent "public" water without having to drive to Gaspe. I see that there is lots of info on www.saumonquebec.com but I was hoping for a bit more detailed fishing i...

Big Rideau Lakers
Hey Guys, Going to head out for a morning fish with my father who has never caught a laker. We will most likely cruise around to find baitfish and likely looking spots then stop and jig. Any suggestions for "must have" tackle? All I have for jigging stuff right now is big tube jigs that I ...

Scotty Sure Stop Downrigger Stopper
Hi All, I just ran into a problem I'm hoping someone has a quick fix for. I have a pair of Scotty 1106 riggers and cut off the original termination end and installed the Scotty sure stop (7' of 240lb braid with a swivel on one end and the same terminal end as the original end). The problem is now th...

Re: Downriggers For Salmon/Trout
Great info guys, thanks! I took a charter out last Thursday and we did ok, 8 lakers all around 10-12lbs. Main purpose was to watch and learn a bit of rigging. Great experience. I went out with Martin from "A Friend With A Boat".

Re: Lunkers and Bunkers Event!
I'm in for sure! My boat is docked at Long Island Marina and my father in law(big golfer) will be in town during that time so it lines up perfect.

Downriggers For Salmon/Trout
Hey All, Wondering if anybody can help with a bit of a shopping list. New to the Ottawa area and plan on dragging the boat to salmon/trout areas but I have absolutely no experience with this type of fishing. I have the downriggers all wired in and ready to go, just need cannon balls. I am hoping som...
