Re: White Lake question

Came off of here today looking for eyes. 4 hours couple eaters but a boat load of sunfish. I've just moved here and have never seen these things until now and all I can say is this is the most annoying fish I have ever encountered.
Great day with the wife and kids on the water though.

Re: Ulterra 80 lb

Thanks, I'm taking her out to White lake tomorrow and run it a lot to see how she does. I love the fact that I am controlling the motor from my depth finder right now. I found this to be a real advantage with young kids on board. I didn't even take the peddle out. Just used the handheld and depth fi...

Ulterra 80 lb

I finally have it up and running and paired with a hummingbird 7 DI. I am absolutely blown away by what this thing can do. I have never had anything like this so I'm pretty new to it. I used it for about 3 hours today just getting the gist of it. I have it on a 1625 Fury. My question is how long wou...

Re: Navionics Help!

Chris Thanks. Yeah it looks like I got them and sonar maps as well. I was worried for a bit but it seems to be gtg. Now for my water test tomorrow with the Ulterra on it. Looks like the helix unit is picking it up fine in the garage right now. I am blown away by the tech. I just want to sleep in the...

Re: Navionics Help!

Wally, Should be 2018. I got in touch with navionics and she laughed at me. Lol. She said it's a region card so I don't pick individual lakes I guess and all lakes are already loaded. I just have to plug the card into my unit. I'm still waiting for my unit to arrive so I'll confirm that when it gets...

Navionics Help!

I asked on another thread but is there some out there that is good with the Navionics cards. I bought one from someone here on this site but I am at a complete loss as to how to actually use it. I followed the installer directions be reg, getting a name and downloaded the reader. I am now only showi...

Re: Mississippi river Almonte

S

I live in CP and have shore fished quite a bit in that area.
All I've ever gotten was sunfish and the odd bass.

I also fished the Mississippi lake yesterday, and must have caught 30 bluegill using traditional walleye methods. Pretty sure pressure has gotten to that lake.

Re: New Boat electronics help

I did everything that I was supposed to do, reg, got a name, uploaded reader, and now I can't do anything g else. How do I actually use the blue pins beca...

New Boat electronics help

I have an Ulterra I pilot link coming in and I haven't owned a boat in 10 years so the nav is a little confusing. I will be getting the Helix 7 DI G2n with it and I am wondering what maps card I should get for Ontario Fishing.
Any suggestions.

Thanks

Re: New Boat

Thanks,

As I said I seemed overwhelmed by it for sure. I'm going to have to pre plan and take this one lake at a time and try to relax. I love it here as for those reasons. As soon as this boat is rigged I'll be out putting in all summer.

Re: New Boat

For sure I will be. Just wondering what else is around here. I've only been to White lake so far but looking to go a little further. I heard that Bobs lake is good but pretty big and it's a weekend trip prob. Wondering how Clayton is because it's so close? Coming from Edmonton so I am in sensory ove...

New Boat

New to the board long time reader.

Just pulled the trigger on a new Fury Xl. I live in CP and new to Ontario and wondering what lakes to put in this summer that are close. Walleye guy, bass when I'm bored.
Super excited because I have some overkill on the boat in the form of an Ulterra.
