Camera
Hi Kpin: My camera is a Panasonic FZ20, which, when I bought it was a pretty decent model (12x optical zoom, image stabilization, and good Leica lens). They originally sold here for $8-900., but I got mine on the U.S. for $400. They now can be had on eBay for $2-300. Like everything else in the elec...

It seems that a simple wildlife photo can mean many different things to many people. Based on some of the responses, I'm now curious (like BigSim) as to whether divorce rates among anglers are higher than in the general public- it's starting to look that way! Anyways- here's another shot from Monday...

Well, if it is THE Gumper, he was definitely born before 1983.
His birth year is part of his handle- 29.

Well...
I've been fortunate enough to be a certified electro-fishing crew member(with DFO, not MNR). This work is unbelievable! Perhaps the fish you saw was a laker- pretty hard to ID a fish based on a quick view while jumping, though. Perhaps, also, the fish was of specific interest to those in the boat, m...

Shhhhhh! Please delete your reference to the s*a*y*a*k spook- especially as relating to Charleston. It's the only advantage I have going for me there...
Wolfe- are you using the full-sized spook? Smaller versions can't compete.
Ah... Charleston smallies.

Huh?
Jigs: You're right- No one has to justify anything to "the likes of CCB" (whatever that means). But I asked a simple question to someone that stated, basically, that tournament organizers don't give a dam about the fish stocks. No reply. Jigs- I hope you make the effort to attend one of th...

Just curious- what specific, poorly organized tournaments are you referring to that place such little importance on the welfare of the fish?
Hopefully you can give some specifics and are not just throwing out an opinion based on ???

bobfly: I commend you for your efforts to protect the trout fisheries in your region. This looks like another case where there is political pressure (often based on the whining of a handful of small business owners and some uninformed anglers) on the MNR to place the welfare of the fisheries behind ...

Hi again: I just looked at the plans (wouldn't load at work). The 16" carriage bolts used are only for attaching the billets to the frame, apparently. Although we use 16" cap screws for some applications at the Park (mostly for shore cribs), I can honestly say I've never seen a 16" ca...
