Re: Cormorant Cull
I read somewhere that their feces can kill plants and trees as well. They're still protected by the FCWA so you can't hunt them or disturb their nesting grounds, even if its on your property. Just fyi I'm not fond of hunting and killing animals but If they're harming the ecosystem as you describe, t...

Mckay Lake
Hi y'all!
Used to go swimming here as a kid and wondered if this lake holds any fish in it. Probably just some small minnows and suckers right?
Any answer is greatly appreciated.

fishing Jessup's falls?
Hey y'all!
Going out with my family to the Jessups falls conservation area. Anyone have any luck fishing that area? From what I've seen, it looks like a great place for catfish and suckers. Anything else caught out of that area?
Any answer is greatly appreciated.

Out of season bass
Hey y'all! The other day I went fishing for pike along the Ottawa river. To my surprise, I caught 2 smallmouth bass with a spinnerbait. Is petrie actually open? I thought most parks are closed right now?
I guess the bait shop isn't really part of the park is it?

Re: WHEN SHOULD THE BULLHEADS AND CRAPPIE FISHING START
I was right next to the mouth of the greens near the ottawa. It was really windy today so I moved a bit downstream.
I checked the water levels near the bridge on the parkway and the water seemed too low to hold anything nice.

Re: WHEN SHOULD THE BULLHEADS AND CRAPPIE FISHING START
Really? Thought it looked like a Catfish. I assumed it was a bullhead because of where I was fishing.

Re: 2020 fishing
Oh no, I have no plans to go fishing right now. I was just speaking on behalf of others who I know are interested in going fishing during these times.
It baffles me how the MNRF hasnt told anyone to stop fishing or hunting yet.
