I was going to check it out this morning but haven’t had the time…. Been lurking waiting for someone to post up as well! I will probably head over around noon or so to see how the ice is looking..

I’ve only ever pulled out dirty Burbs between 10-14” there. Must have been a great fight!! Nicely done

Not a problem! If you stick to more or less where most of the shacks are set up should be pretty uniform. Have seen one truck on the ice about a week and a half ago, probably lots more out there now!

Over a foot of ice. I guess it depends on your risk tolerance

I do agree, it’s way over fished for the size. However I’ve still caught good size pike and muskey there. I have seen maybe 1 or 2 walleye over the last 3-4 years however.

I have an aqua vu and it came with a tripod. You can def. DYI one but I’d highly suggest that- makes it a ton easier to set up! As for drills. I’ve had an Eskimo pistol bit going into season 3. Was my go to spot up until last year. I’ve seen people parked down there even with all the signage still this year. What I did last year was park on top of the hill near the dumpsters then walk down. Super inconvenient but still accessible.

Took the ATV out early afternoon for the first time this year. Was about 100 yards or so offshore- In line sort of where the perm. hut is set up. Was on 10.5” of ice. Clear black too. Marked a lot of small perch and had a few bites. Only got out for an hour and a half, but was still nice!

My go to for minnows is Serge- close to Sherleys near Bayshore. I live around the corner from him so super convenient, but good price and good guy.
