Report back on how driving out went! Planning on doing so this weekend.. I’ve been out about 10 or so times this year and have been semi productive. Will be nice to drive out!

Was out yesterday, I was pretty far out (one other perm. Hut farther out) and ice was atleast 8”. Nothing was blocked off- I was doing some reading on the stay at home order, and ice fishing isn’t affected by it! There were usual number or people out fishing. Was out Wednesday evening for a bit and at the time had access. Going out this afternoon- will report back!

Was out last night probably a good km out, was sitting on 7” of ice. Some guy actually drove his crown vic on the ice! A bit premature for driving I think however haha

Hard to tell from the pic but that was Sunday out about 200 yards from shore. 5.5-6” of clear black ice. Got 2 small perch and a small walleye. There were about 6 pop ups out there with me by nightfall. This rain coming up doesn’t seem good for the ice..

A bunch of people out at Sherleys today. A permanent hut out there, and atv. Had a good 5” or so of solid black ice! Hopefully this week doesn’t see too much thaw.

That was this afternoon at Nichols Island in Manotick. Parking lot is now closed where you would usuall park. This guy got out. Said there was about 5” of ice out there.

I was at Sherleys bay checking it out last week and it was all open water. Glad to see it’s freezing up with these temps!! Can’t be too thick just based off being open a week ago though? Last week I drove by Constance Lake as well and it was frozen right across.
