Dow's lake is now filled. The pannies will be hungry. Great time to get your young ones out for a spring fishing trip. Any small hook with a honey worm, or small crappie jigs should work well. A slip bobber helps, or just any old plain bobber.

Don't forget, on the Ontario side of the Ottawa River there is a limit of 12 with a Sportfishing license, and 6 with a Conservation license for Channel Cats.

The Deschene Rapids park along the Ottawa River Parkway, sorry, the Sir John A. Parkway. is not a bad spot to try. Worms work well there (lots of ducks to amuse the kids as well).
