The way a whitetail works a scrape, especially the enthusiasm and energy he puts into the licking branch, is always a fun behaviour to watch.

Whitetail activity has ramped up ten-fold in the last week, with bucks making fresh scrapes and rubs daily now.
This buck found my mock scrape early yesterday morning - and spent over four minutes working it over.

Swapped cards at the trail cam sites yesterday. Two of the regulars made nighttime visits, with Wide Guy showing signs of shedding his velvet. The two youngster bucks were last seen in mid-July.
