Jacques-Cartier Park usually has ice fishing for kids, they stock 1000’s of trout for them to catch

I really don’t like the piers at any time, especially in the winter. Down by the mouth of the Wilmot or even Cobourg could be good, some times they are not iced up to bad, if at all. I used to fish a very small creek near there in the winter. I know its probably further then you want to go, but I ...

Now that is a fishing trip. Algonquin is awesome this time of year, sometimes you have to do the solo trip or you’ll be sitting at home watching TV. Beautiful Brookies, nice pictures, interesting culinary choices but hey that’s all part of it.

Now that there is a nice looking trip, I’m envious. The Madawaska has got to be the most beautiful river in our area. I’ve always wanted to do that run, maybe next year.
PS judging by that turtle I would say you were in the Galapagos’s Islands

There has been a lead sinker ban in most National Parks for a few years now. At least in places like Gros Morne, Cape Breton Highlands and I'm pretty sure that the western Nat.Parks such as Baniff, Waterton Lakes are the same as well.

Hey BigC Looks like you had a great get away. Brings back a lot of great memories when I see the young ones reeln them in. The good thing is if you get them into it early you’ll have no problem getting them to go fishing with ya as they get older and you never forget those moments. Nice bass by th...

Heat and UV is what does in your line. As long as it wasn't exposed to to that it is fine. I actually have a couple of Maxima Chameleon service spools that are well over 10 years old, it's fine no problems.
Now if you're talking Trilene all bets are off.

Most rivers and brooks are fly ONLY, so bear that in mind at least along the Northern Peninsula anyway. For Salmon you will need a guide if you are fishing more than 800m from the highway (hey don't ask me) I had a fellow near Barachois Pond P.P.(Stephenville) his last name was Martin or Martins gui...
