Woops ....
sorry .. this statement refers to target separation ... "whereas the VEX can only clearly discern something like 2.5 inches ... so when you get deeper, that little jig is hard for the vex to see." not power / sensitivity. Crank up your gain or pull in the angle of our transducer (if so equ...

Fly rod ... full sink line ... and here is the secret ...
troll in sweeping S curves through the lake ... you will find that the rainbows will hit as soon as you start going in to the S curve .. as your full sink line is a) slowing down and b) sinkin'.
I use streamers myself ...

Here are some things that I would like to see changed on this forum to stop the endless bickering on this site. a) remove fishing pictures from Fishing Talk, and load up a new sub-forum called "Bragging Board" b) to promote the friendly transfer of information, a "thankyou button"...

I use a Daiwa Accudepth 47LC loaded with a full core of 17-18lb dacron, with 25lb test backing. Great for fishing lakers in the Spring and Fall.

not sure about this ...
What i have heard is that they are on the lookout for trailers that maybe suspect or over the handling capacity of the tow vehicle. Now that I agree with. Lots of idiots out there towing 1500 lbs with neons and cavaliers ... They are also out checking tire wear ... was coming back from labarons last...

Achray ..
You picked a nice spot to fish. I fished lakers there last summer, didnt catch any, but did spot quite a few on my flasher. Like others say .. full sink, and pull close into the deadfalls. Across from the campground, im thinking east, there is a rock outcropping after a large bay on the northern sid...

Cayos ...
I wouldnt bother with the deep see fishing in that area ... Most of the guys who run the hobbie cats out of the resorts will gladly take you out and fish the the reef lines for a few C.Pesos. Take the bus ..and your rod and shore fish from either the bridge at Cayo Guillermo or the rock face at Pila...
