Everybody should've had a trip or two by now to the Big Rideau, prefishing for the Mega Bucks.
Let's have some fun and see who can guess what the heaviest fish will weigh this Saturday.
My guess, 4.87 lbs.
Let's see what everybody thinks.

Re: FOUR MORE SLEEPS
Hey Bass Addict
I won't be throwing a Jerk bait this weekend, water temps are still too high.
Need temps in mid 40's to really fire my finned friends up.
Have gone to Swim baits with the Rythym Wave as my go to bait.
Will be doing some other scouting around this weekend.

Re: Cabelas... Whatchya Think?
Was in the store tuesday afternoon. NOT IMPRESSED. Staff not very knowledgeable in fishing dept. Fishing dept. very poorly laid out. Theft was rampant. Very narrow aisles for these huge grocery shopping carts. As I told the cashier, I've made my 2 trips to Cabelas, my first and my Last. Heard of man...

Re: fish finder wiring
Just one more little note, when joining wires from battery to power cable for Fish finder, use silver solder, not the quick crimp pieces. You get a lot better connection with solder. Slip some shrink tube over the wires before soldering and make sure they are far enough away from the heat of the sol...

Re: MS Bassin report and pics

Been there, fished the MS a few times. great group and a FUN tournament. I've stepped aside to allow newer people to get in and enjoy what this is all about. Question thoug...

Re: Got a question? Let's hear it!
Hey there RJ. Those long bomb casts, I call this system the Poor Man's Carolina rig. You can cover a lot of water and feel a lot of different structure on bottom. Sometimes that extra movement while dragging bottom will trigger strikes. Rod quality is SOOOO important. A lot of my hits, strikes whate...

Re: New PB - 112 X 47
Congrats on a great day on the Fraser river.
How are you ever going to top that outing?
Guess you 2 had sore arms after that wrestling match.
So now you're back to catching Muskies, boy, what a let down.

Re: trailer tires
Don't worry so much about the Brand of tire. Make sure you use a tire pressure gauge. Most of these tires should be run at 50 PSI. You under inflate your tires, you'll cut thousands of miles off your tire life. Check your tire air pressure monthly at the longest. My new tires on my Shoreland'r trail...

Re: Parking fees at White Lake boat launch
Thanks, ValleyLad for the info. Guess this pass covers a few launch areas. Seems like the launches are Free, you're paying for the parking privilege. You all know how expensive close to waterfront property is. Is there a fee for launching/parking at the Boeing ramp? Is there a dock at Clay banks lau...

Re: Windy Fishing with aid of my MK Terrova
People don't know what they're missing on the Mississippi. It has to be one of the better locations close to Ottawa. Great panfish body of water Crappies, Blue Gill Red Ears, Perch. We've caught walleyes up to 8 lbs. in this lake, also caught pike over 5lbs. Then there is the small mouth bass and ou...

Re: Since Shallow Walleye are Trending
I think you have to determine the meaning of Dandy.
If it's over 50cm. it's only a picture fish.
If it's between 40-50 cm it could very well be a dinner fish.
If it's under 40 cm it's a deformed fish. ( head to close to tail)
You're off to a great start to the season, keep 'em coming.

Re: Windy Fishing with aid of my MK Terrova
After fishing on Monday in those slightly breezy conditions I wish I had the M.K. Ulterra. I was up and down moving around from spot to spot. There were times I wasn't sure if I was staying in the Lund or going for a swim. The Ulterra has to be the greatest piece of equipment developed. Auto deploy,...

Windy Fishing with aid of my MK Terrova
Spent Monday, 6/6/16 on the Mississippi with T.C. chasing walleye You know what the weather was like, just a slight breeze....NOT unbelieveable gusts at times. Darn near had the bow under white caps a few times. As we came into CP one bassboat was already leaving too windy rough. We toughed her out ...
