Fishing Related Stories Anyone?

I have a few stories that are fishing related but have nothing to do with fish... (i.e. NOT stories about the "big one that got away") Anyone have some interesting stories they'd be willing to share? (i.e. getting out of a jam while fishing... sinking boat... flat tires on the way to favor...

You need permits... parking and camping. At least if you're camping and/or parking on one of their sites

There are some interesting articles on one gentleman who's successfully fought the county about purchasing these permits.

Thanks a million Salar! I'll be trying that... always looking for something new... especially once I don't catch one after the aforementioned tactics have been used. Trolling I've been using small spoons and spiners, mostly Blue Fox spiners and spoons by a few of the popular brands. Haven't been suc...

Fished both lakes quite a bit... Sharbot.... when the bite is off it's off. Nice Smallmouth and lots of them... think fishing patterns you'd use for Walleye in the spring... I found this out trying for Walleye  Walleye in Sharbot... never caught one good enough for the pan in there  Tried...

Who's planning any end of season trout fishing

I'm going to head up into the hills behind Calabogie for specs... anyone else have any end of season trout fishing plans?

Most likely will troll with small spoons and/or spinners, but usually will be most successfully with worms under a slip bobber. Should I be trying something else?

Thanks, Buzzer

I'd love to try float fishing but I don't know the edicate and/or what to use. Also don't know what type of gear would be needed.. i.e. what type of fly rod weight and length, do I need one of those big noodle rods? Currently I own two fly rods... 8 weight is the heaviest but I can can't cast very w...

I find leeches work well for the Walleye once the water warms up as they ball up if the water is too cold. (no good action) I've never used them for trout fishing as usually the water is too cold when I'm fishing for trout. On a side note I have been to many trout lakes where leeches are plentiful s...

I've read about a gentleman who went to court over his fine(s) as he wasn't camping on a designated campground, (and not using a "vault"), the case was dismissed and fine not paid.

I've fished this lake just after the Walleye opener this season. Very little success for Walleye and Pike. Did catch some reasonable Crappie, and a few OOS bass while bottom bouncing. I would recommend Sharbot Lake as I've had better success there. If decide to fish Black Lake feel free to drop my a...
