I fished an flw stren series event this past July and it was a really good indication of what engines are the best especially after abuse. From what I noticed the Mercs seem to sound the worst(rapping) and smoked the most. The etecs were definately the fastest and most smokeless they also sounded th...

I was in a 17.5' lund with my girlfriend and as soon I started to get follows she wanted to go home, Go figure. We spent most of our time near big island. Those follows definately get the heart pumping.

What kind of boat were you in? I was on pigeon that same day and only had two follows both on weed rock transitions. I actually thought I wasted too much time shallow. I did catch some real nice smallies though on some of the mid lake humps.

If you have a girlfriend definately get a fish trap I bought a yukon last year and I didn't get a single complaint about going icefishing she is actually looking forward to this season. Priceless. Other than that vexilars are worth their weight in gold.

I've never seen so many wardens as I have this year around the ganny. Finally they are starting to realize what has been going for years. I stay away from the upper portions of the river and primarily fish the harbour even though it gets pretty hard to make a drift with all of the bottom clunkers. I...

Anyone know what the water temperature on Quinte is. I'm starting to get impatient for my favorite time of the year.

I pull my 14ft aluminum with a 9.9hp merc with a 94 nissan hardbody pickup 2wd I picked this truck up for $700 and I bought two running parts trucks for $50 each I would definately recommend one of these trucks. I have never gotten stuck even at the scary adulphuston launch on quinte.

super line vs mono diameter

I was wondering, if the diameter of 40lb test power pro is the same as 10lb test monofilament will it pull your lures down to the same depths on the same amount line let out. Hopefully this makes sense. I am trying to use power pro and keep within the lines of the precision trolling handbook.

After the rain we have been having the first run of fish have started moving up the river with a good number of fish being caught in front of the willows. Out in the lake most people are fishing around the piers in 35 to 50 ft of water. Lots of people are reporting good catches and friend of mine to...

I don't know about you guys but I had a great year on the ganny last year for salmon and trout but I also have the luxury of being right across the road from it. If you don't like shoulder to shoulder fishing a good place to try is the west wall of the yatch club especially after dark they seem to m...

It has really cooled off and the fish are moving in closer with people catching them off the piers at night time. I'd being making a trip within the next couple of weeks unless you are fishing from shore then wait till the end of august beginning of september. Last year was definately a good year an...

Thanks for the report Me and my family used to live in Moose factory but I was too little to go fishing with my dad. It's nice to see the fish and the conditions they were fishing in. Now I just want to see pictures off 10 pound brook trout my dad always goes on about
