Pakenham park/launch

I was in Pakenham a few weeks ago, wanted to go kayaking BUT they had the park chained shut. Covid the sign said. Anyone know if the chain is gone and park open?
Thanks

Re: Suckers?

For a good day of fishing, I surprise myself how far I'll go. Nation river is on the list for sure.
They have Drum there as well I understand, would like to see what they are like as well.

Thanks for the help,
Tony

Suckers?

My buddy and I are going to give Suckers a try this spring. I am thinking of the Carp river and Jock river? Any suggestions would really be appreciated.
Thanks all,
Tony

Fresh Water Drum?

I know they are supposed to be on the Ottawa River. Not that I am asking exactly where, but could anyone share their experience on catching these overlooked fish please? Depth, structure, current etc?

Thanks,
Tony

Re: Want to buy my first yak - recommendations

Sail puts all their kayaks at 15% off every spring, that is where I got my Pelican Catch 120 and the Pelican Catch 100, Fantastic fishing kayaks, seats that keep you comfortable and won't kill back and numb your legs after a few hours. Pescodore is also nice but I went with Pelican as it is Canadian...

Re: Cormorant Hunting Season Proposal by MNRF

Please make sure to post a comment on the government's site (find the link on the first post above). You can be sure PETA is going to oppose this. Don't let this opportunity slip away.

Re: Cormorant Control

It has been reported that they can also take out all the fish in a lake, and near Presque Ile they are killing most of the trees with their toxic gauno, aks bird crap.

Cormorant Control

Perhaps we should all encourage the Province of Ontario to not only go ahead with their proposed Cormorant hunt, but even expand it year round. You can easily register with the Ontario government web site by following the link at https://www.oodmag.com/news/cormorant-hunt-works/ Don't let PETA stop ...
