I was born/raised in a fishing community in NS. A few of my buddies are still fishermen there. I will talk to them and see who they reccomend and what you'd be looking to pay. I know the shark fishing just keeps better and better there with the ocean temps rising. There has even been great whites ca...

Thanks Norm, alot of good info on those threads. This issue is well beyond my capabilities, I will have to take to someone in the know to make sure it is done properly. It is too bad b/c this boat is in immaculate condition other than the rotten transom. Thanks again.

Transom repair

Hi guys. I have a 17ft fiberglass bowrider and noticed that the wood in the transom is rotting. I have reinforced it with 1/4" aluminum plates on either side bolted through the transom to eachother. I have also attached rods from the the plates to the fiberglass on the interior of the boat to h...

Kingston area tribs??

Hey guys, I'm hoping to get some info on the Kingston area tributaries. I have to take my fiance and her mother there on Tuesday and thought it would be a good chance to get my yearly fix of Lake Ont. trout/salmon The waters I know are all in the Cobourg/Port Hope area but I am hoping I don't have t...

I was by on Tuesday and the lake is still frozen. Some edges and near the creek as katch moore said is open but that's it. The ice doesn't look like it plans on checkin' out 'til after the easter bunny does his rounds.

That's scary. I was up that way checking conditions and heard all the sirens and figured there was a car accident. A couple minutes later I saw an outboard gas tank float by...didn't think much of it as I have seen alot stranger things floating in that river after ice out. Now it all makes sense and...

I swung by there yesterday while I was on a crappie hunt just to see what was going on. Baited up and threw in for fun with no results as I had figured. Lots of current and obviously dirty water, but it won't be long now. Didn't find any crappie either by the way.

This spring I was guiding in Northern Ontario and really had a great opportunity to really narrow down spring pike baits. I took notes, recorded times, weather, sizes, depths, lures etc. As well as topwaters and spinnerbaits do work in the spring, hands down the best baits were big spoons. Particula...

I have caught many browns In Nova Scotia but unfortunately none here. My bait of choice for them is actually a small panfish rapala in trout pattern. I have caught them up to 10lbs on this tiny bait. It works in both streams and lakes but like I say, not sure about here but I know if I was going for...

I'm not sure about immediately after ice out but I know I have had great luck with carp in the spring. I use corn, worms, Berkley carp bait, french fries, etc....I have a friend who swears by coloured marhmallows. All right on bottom, or close to it. If they are around, they will normally eat what y...

A year or so eh? Guess they had to move the display so I could trip over it for me to see it

I did see some hot pink tags on some of the rods, maybe on sale !?

Either way, if you have a choice and prices are similar it would be nice to support the little guys!!

Thanks.

I am wondering if this is a tiger musky? At the end of the article it says when the sample was tested it was found to be a natural cross of a Pike and TIGER musky...and the markings are a little different from the tiger I caught two years ago in the Rideau. So what the hell does that make this fish?...
