Re: Walley opening weekend
I lived just down the road from Mowat's Landing, which is where you off load your boat. From there you head west for a very short 2 min ride and and then head up to the Dam. At the Dam you call for a pick up. The owner comes down and trailers you and the boat up over the Dam in the Lady. It was $20 ...

Re: Boat Carpet Installation
Can't give you a name of one that I have used in your area, however I can tell you in my area that all the marina's installed carpet and vinyl and carpet stores as well. The problem I had was not with finding someone to do it rather finding someone who could supply 8' wide vinyl for my pontoon boat....

Re: Marten river ice lakers
I lived just north of there for a few years and fished through the area. It see a lot of fishing pressure in summer but not that much in winter. Most people that head up are snowmobiling. If you can find the walleye you usually stay on them, but finding them is the trick. Marion Lake is also not bad...

Re: Wolfe Lake, Westport
Hi Doug, I have been into Norris but only to purchase some bait. I was planning to stop in tomorrow, Friday, to get some live bait and ask a few questions. I am not looking for secrets but starting points would be nice this time of year. I live about 4 minutes away from them so they are very handy. ...

Yes it seems we always over think the items we pack, unless we need them.

Re: A NUNAVUT NOMAD FOR ARCTIC CHAR. Report & More.
I was working for the Government of Nunavut for the Department of Education. Looking for some more small contracts for up there still. I just gave away a set of wolf paws, claws and all. I can still get just about anything I want, I just need to place an order, and then send off for tanning along wi...

Re: A NUNAVUT NOMAD FOR ARCTIC CHAR. Report & More.
I lived in Nunavut for 8 years, working from Arviat to Repulse Bay and parts between. Loved the hunting and fishing. I have a number of stories myself. I used to teach a Trapping, Skinning, and Tanning course up there. I have a number of Arctic Fox pelts and an Arctic Wolf pelt being tanned as we sp...

Upper Rideau
Hello all, Can anyone speak to the fishing on the Upper Rideau. I just bought a nice property a short distance outside of Westport, ON. I have been out fishing a few times and have smashed the Small mouth and perch each time. Being new to the lake I am having a hard time locating any Pik's, if they ...

I have just purchased a Lowrance H2Oc c/w eastern great lakes chip and so far I love it. There seems to be so much to learn how to use it porperly. If anyone wants to run a course on who to use it to it's fullist - count me in.
