Very very cool technology. FWIW: If I recall correctly those lakes were previously much smaller and were flooded/enlarged to create a head pond for the hydro damns down the Madawaska. In the creation the town of Black Donald was flooded and you can still scuba dive through the old town. This would e...

I quite enjoy a beer or two while fishing on a summers day. I definitly wouldn't be pounding them back at any crazy rate though. I honestly wouldn't see the problem with having some kind of legal limit similiar to driving for example. I mean a beer ever few hours is relaxing and won't make you incap...

you don't need a deep frier to deep fry fish. Just a pot or pan with oil will do. You can pan fry with just a small amount of oil, or fill it up to the point that your fish will be floating in the oil.

A friend of mine caught one that was about 4' long on the Ottawa just past pembroke. Caught on hook and worms in an area with very strong current and pretty deep waters. I am going to try for some soon myself, look very fun to catch.

I have been told by Quebec MNR that the Ottawa river is neutral, Ontario or quebec licences permitted on either side of the river, however tributaries(sp?) on the quebec side require a quebec licence. So as long as he was on the Ottawa river specifically he should have been ok.

Good Crappie spots

Preferably in cleaner water areas as crappie are one of the few fish I keep to batter and fry up. I used to fish Edmonds locks alot in Smiths Falls, but havn't had much luck recently. Any...

as opposed to water jugs in the front, when I used to use a 14ft tinny, I always had a cinder (sp?) block in the bow as counter balance, that I also used as an anchor when needed. kill two birds with one stone sorta speak.
