Boshkung Lake?

I might be going with my family to a cottage on this lake for the weekend and I'm wondering if anyone knows if the fishing is good there. And/or someone who has fished there before and could give me some insight and what to expect.

Thanks.

Grand River smallmouth, good places to fish?

I live in the KW area and I'm wondering if anyone that fishes the grand can tell me acouple good spots for smallmouth? I usually fish closer to glen morris, but have never caught a decent sized fish with the exception of a 17"+ when I was younger.

Bayfront Park (Hamilton) for smallies?

I was looking through some of my older fishing magazines and found an article saying the smallmouth bass fishing there is really good. This magazine is about 6 years old now, is the smallmouth bass fishing there still good? I'm thinking of going to Bayfront Park tomorrow and giving it a try if it is...

Thanks for the replies fellas. Looks like I'm going to try either Power Pro or Spider Wire Stealth. By the way is Power Pro "quiet"? My buddy was using Fireline and you could hear the line on the guides.

Cheers.

Best braided line?

I want to try some braided line on my baitcaster and I'm wondering, from your experiences which braided line is best? Most of them promise low memory, easy to cast and won't bury into your spools etc. So which one is it?

Power Pro, Stren Super Braid, Berkley Fireline, Spiderwire, Tuf Line... ?

Nice carp, looks like you had a good time. I've had no luck with carp, might try boilies next time.

Well the reel runs smooth and spins freely, so I don't think the bearings need to be lubed. Its just that when I reel in, theres a kink noise every turn, but like I said I just think its the anti-reverse bearing. Another thing I forgot to say was, when I turn the reel on its left side so the handle ...

Abu Garcia Ambassadeur C3, noise?

I recently got a Ambassaduer C3 baitcaster from ebay. Supposedly it is new, and it looks new to me, doesnt look like it has been used at all. The model is probably last years or the year before that. Now my question is, when I reel the reel makes a weird noise like a kink sorta. But I think its just...

Nice, I went today to the Grand (Cambridge area), most of it was all murky, got no hits at all. Went up stream the water was clear as it could be. Seen alot of crap spawning but didn't catch any bass.

I'll be waking up around 6am tomorrow morning and heading off on the Grand River. I'll be using spinners, small spinnerbaits and tube jigs.

Good luck all!
