Great post Fishboch! I'm just glad we happened to be rigged for musky that night, lucky thing because: You were able to bring him in without overplaying, thanks to the heavy gear. We had a big enough net to rest the fish for a while. The knipex cutters were handy and we didn't have to do any soft ti...

I could snow you with a bunch of worthless drivel, but the truth is my muskie record is somewhere in the neighbourhood of my elephant hunting record. Here is the only guaranteed, for sure, way to see Muskies that I know: 1. Get a beer. 2. Boot up the computer. 3. Get another beer. 4. Login to the In...

Scotty Strikers and Compre rods..

Anyone else having trouble seating a Compre rod into a Scotty Striker rod holder? Seems that the finger grip trigger dohickey on the bottom the the rod contacts the base/stem of the holder and prevents the reel from seating into the holder. I must be doing something wrong. Help!? http://www.fish307....

Senior's fishing

I understand that Ontario residents over 65 do not require a fishing license. Do they require any paper work other than a driver's license or similiar proof of age and residency?

Bow ff install

Just looking for some advice on installing a fishfinder on the bow casting deck. Can I tap off the wiring for the trolling motor and save myself alot of wire pulling? I'm concerned that the motor may put out alot of electrical noise and cause problems. Install guide says put in a 1A inline fuse and ...

Pushing the season and outboards

Howdy folks, I have a a question on what my hard stop (excuse the pun) on the boating season should be. My first year with a flotation suit and I'm still enjoying getting out. How late can I push it, temperature-wise, before winterizing? I assume the overnight lows are the overriding factor I'm worr...

If you make it public somone might run across it at a launch or something.

It's easy enough model to recognize when folks are out and about, imagine how easy it is to get a truck plate if someone does identify it.

And a great way to 2x check if it goes up for sale online

Madawaska Muskie opener

Fishboch and I headed out to try our luck. My first year with the boat, and the first season for both of us targetting ski's. I had a follow very early (low 30's in length), Fishboch hooked one up and brought him boatside (both casting). We trolled for a while with nothing to show for it, then I lan...
