Awesome catch! The smallmouth definately fight harder than the largemouth. And imagine a 4 lber. Mustn't have been a quick fight!

Now that I think of it, that blackish fish that spat me out might have been a trout. I was fishing today at a small pond near my home and I managed 2 small trout. They almost looked the exact same as the fish that spat me out.

You can get stung by catfish? I had no idea. I catch bullheads all the time at a local park. I usually wear a wet glove though.

Thanks Legend. Yes I have printed out that map. I'm hoping to try the narrows, and northern areas of the lake. If the bite is slow, we may consider heading into Fawn Lake. Will tell you our results upon return.
