I can attest to the fact that kids can in fact get there feet caught in old holes. My oldest and I were at Crappie Bay a couple of years ago, I believe I was watching Bucketmouth catch bluegill, he was showing me how the Vexilar worked when my son was trying to get my attention from behind me. I tol...

Thank you Placide. I will heed your warning, others have told me the same thing about how quickly the lake can get churned up.

Mr. J I would be there if I wasn't going to be away on a canoe trip. I wish you the best of luck but I don't think you"ll need it due to the cool new lures you"ve made!

Algonquin Park Cedar Lake

Does anyone have any advice for catching the fish of Cedar Lake in Algonquin Park? I'm heading there in two weeks for a canoe trip. I see on the Algonquin Park website the lake has bass walleye and trout. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like a parasite called Yellow Grub. If it wasn't that, I have no idea.

Does anyone else think that looks like a musky or tiger musky (with bands) as opposed to a pike? The fins seem to have a flash of orange as well. Just an observation. Really cool video!

Over the last few weeks I have been observing 4 poachers fishing from shore using two to three lines, netting perch and other sunfish and using them for bait. Originally I tried to speak to these people but they acted as though I was not even there. I don't think they speak english and if they do it...

How young is too young to start fishing

It is with great pleasure that I announce the birth of my third son Jayden Jackson Fischer Mann at 2:24 PM August 4, 2005. He weighed in at 8lbs 7 oz two week before the due date. Here's the thing, he and Mom get out of the hospital on Sunday and I'm wondering if 4 days old is too young to have him ...

Today has been a bit trying at work and the smile on your daughters face just put a smile on mine! Thank her for me. (And thank you)

I agree with MM and Relic. The inlets absolutely hold some REALLY nice fish. From decent musky, smallies, walleye, ROCK BASS, mooneye and last year we caught a 15lbs catfish in one of the inlets. Slushpuppy, don't forget to work the White lake bridge. P.S. Nice tackle shop! I'll see you again Saturd...

Steve, all suggestions I have seen are great. Maybe keep a few sacraficial worms on hand for them (similar to what Markus said with the gobies). I have a 5 and 3 year old that I take out regularly and the one thing I have learned (from actually listening to myself speaking) is not to coach them too ...

My recommendation ( and I think it was the concensus here in the past ) is that you should use the 10 Amp trickle charge. I have been warned by folks I trust that charging the battery repeatedly at the 2 Amp charge WILL reduce the life of your battery. Also, from what I have read you should charge y...
