Great looking fish, Keyz!

What flies were working? I'm thinking about hitting the Ganny or Wilmot on the way back from London this weekend...

Skunked

Went out to Deschenes rapids this morning. Not a single fish caught. Nothing. Nada. Not even a smallmouth. Definitely a first.

The 80mph winds definitely didn't help my case with the 6wt.

MrJams, I know that they move into the slower water because I've caught them there in the past. The problem is getting your fly through the phalanx of bass to the trout. Browns are very economical hunters preferring to lie in wait for food to come to them whereas the bass will go out of their way f...

Went sunday morning to the credit river(erindale park) and there was a fair number of fish in there. To bad there was record numbers of people out too. MrJams, The browns congregate on the Quebec side mainly in water that is accessible by boat. You'll pick up the occasional one in the wadeable sections. People are successful by drifting nymphs with the current, by high-sticking nymphs, and fishing with dropper rigs. Stoneflies, GRHE, olive wooly b...

Re: Port Hope

The salmon have been running over a week ago. Personally, I have not been down there. I have only seen pictures of some of the salmon caught via some folks I know who are from Coburg. Hey JVE, Thanks for the info. Yeah I dropped by Wilmot Creek at the end of August (not fishing just looking) and th...

Browns in Ottawa, Fall Salmon Fishing

Hey folks, I'm a long time angler, but recently picked up fly fishing. I've fished the Ottawa a handful of times at Bate Island (Champlain) and have caught a bunch of smallmouth, but haven't had any luck with Browns. Just wondering if anyone else on the board has had better luck this summer. I haven...

Big Creek or other Tribs near London

New to the board - great forum. I'll be in the St. Thomas/London area in two weekends and I'm considering checking out Big Creek in Delhi for the fall salmon/steelhead run. I'll be fly fishing. I've never been there before - does anyone have any suggestions recommendations as far as places to start?...

Re: Salmon in the credit???

Anybody know the conditions at credit(erindale park) or bronte(petro park) let me know please. I will send a report if i end up going sunday morni...
