Saskie,that "tossable" fish-finder you spoke of,is it a HAWK-EYE one that has the transducer on the end of a cable,and the other end to the display.

I have a smartcast Dick Tracey type one that the receiver goes on your wrist. The display can mark fish and structure but the only problem is it only shows what is directly under the castable/floating transmitter.There is no cone of detection like on most fish-finders.Other than that for shore fishi...

I was just wondering ,how is the Urban Fishing Project coming along.There seems to be a great need for it due the postings on the board looking for spots around Ottawa,from shore.

I am head up to Timmins in the near future and wondered if anyone has suggestions as good spots to fish.

Does anyone have room in there boat as I am boatless.

Myself, I would fly me and 10 others out to B.C. and start off the coast,then to the interior,then to Alberta(the Bow river) then Red River in Manitoba,then Sunset Country in Northern Ontario,northern Quebec,and finally do the Maritimes.

Come on . With all the fishermen on this site can no one offer any help.

Me and my son are going to Bancroft for long weekend in Aug. to Gemboree and while there I'll try to get some fishing in. Where in Bancroft or very close by,is good for fishing and what species.

Where is this Eccoland Park you are talking about.How near to Barrhaven.

Twooey and Twin Lakes are off hwy.41 ,the Algonquin route.Take hwy.132 out of Renfrew to #41. The lakes are between Twooey Hills and Kartoum.
Twooey and Upper Twin have speckled trout and the Lower Twin has rainbow trout.

The walleye was 10" long.Not a big one.
Try fishing in Kars at the boat launch.

Went fishing at three spots today.Jock R. at Greenback,below the dam at Long Island Locks,and below Manotick Mill.Only luck at Long locks.1 walleye .

At the mouth of the Jock where it empties into Rideau is a good spot to launch and go from Long Island locks down towards Black Rapids where it is much quieter.
