This brings up a question that I had regarding drinking on a boat in Quebec.

I have heard that it is ok to have alcohol in a fishing boat in Quebec...has anyone heard of whether this is a wives tale or not?

Thanks,

Footnote to previous post: We use 6-8 foot leaders on the end of the sink tip with 3 feet of tippet.

If you have a larger lake with a deeper littoral zone, use a longer leader...don't be afraid to go 30-40 feet. Harder to play the fish, but you should get action.

We've been nailing lots of rainbows with the good old black wooley bugger on sink tip line. Note: Our lake is small with the deepest part 20 feet. We fish from float tubes and troll the flies around gradual shoals and drop-offs.

Good luck!

I am a cottage owner on a small back bay of a small lake. We get occasional fishing traffic in the summer months and I enjoy watching people catch fish in and around "our waterfront area". The odd long weekend we get friends of friends that bring in their boats and don't really get the &qu...

Nice specs. I keep and eat Brookies too, and sometimes more than three, but be careful as too how many you take from your honey hole, as it doesn't take long for brookies to run dry. We all know that it doesn't take much to ruin a nice honey hole these days, especially within striking distance of TO...

On my lake it's a Rebel Pop-R. Don't even think of fishing until 20 minutes before dark, then let er rip. Mouth of any creek or river will produce I would bet. Hula poppers and Heddon anything works "fair", but the Pop-R rules. They are $1 cheaper at Wally World than C-T. Good luck! Mak'er

This whole "Broadcasting" a trout lake topic is crazy to me. Trout fishing is, or should be a quest... Lakes that are easily accessible and advertised by the MNR are fair game to everyone. The ministry throws the "lazy" fisherman a bone with the stocked fish in these put and take...

I set up my transducer on a flat piece of metal and attached another flat piece to create a "Plus" sign (+). I fold it together and slide it through the ring on the side of my tube, then spread it open into the + position. It holds well and stays out of the way. I'll try to post a pic of t...

Check to make sure that your transducer is set properly...if not you will get "disturbance" on screen...

Getting itchy Lads?

Hello all, I hope everyone had a good winter. I'm sure you are all chomping at the bit to get out on the water like I am. Livingroom has been the flyfishing room for the last couple of weeks, cleaning line, etc... Question: Does anyone fish choronomid patterns at ice-out? I've been brainwashed by Br...

Based on the fine amount I suspect that these people may have known what they were doing and were possibly repeat offenders. Just a guess though...I would hope that if it was an honest "mistake" the fine would reflect it for a first offense.

Sends a stong message though for sure.
