I would still get a model 30 if you could the new ones are absolute crapola, you can expect a lifespan of 1/4 of the model 30 and thats if you're very lucky. I hear Tecumseh is still supplying parts anyway, but a 30 never needs hard parts.

I had the same problem this year and went to the new hunting/fishing store in Richmond and they had the tips I needed right on the shelf, even came with the glue to glue them on.

Everything in nature has a use/purpose in life. Whether that be annoying or not. Species only become a problem when they are out of balance with their environment. That may be true but crows should be thinned out heavily at any opportunity and there are good reasons for this and also an all year op...

Yes it is fun to walk around and spot one for sure, I use a 22 when I am doing that usually. A large hunting area is good for that too so you can cover alot of area and hopefully have some success. They tend to freeze, even kinda out in the open and seem to think that you can't see them even if you ...

The same loads as for grouse are good, med power 7.5's, or if you are stillhunting alone a 22 is good. It is tough to bag very many without a beagle that rabbit hunts though. Orange is a must too.

You may be able to knock it down a bit temporarily to give deer some breathing room in the late winter/spring. Coyotes in neighboring areas will just have larger litters though and re-populate the area pretty quickly.

That sucks Hookup, some of my hunting areas were like you described but luckily my main area had good numbers and we bagged a few. I talked to some other hunters that did well from various areas so there are some good pockets with good populations around. From what I hear the prime MONEY! areas are ...
