My favorites in order are 1 giant abagast jidder bugs, 2 Storm Chug bugs. both the small and large. 3 The spitting image. ( walk the dog action) its actually a saltwater lure. Ones with red eyes seem to work better for some reason. 4 10" black worm, not weighted and just twitched close to the s...

one thing that ive found, is buy the good quality swivels. The barrel swivels seem to work until it gets the slightest bit of dirt, or weed into the barrel. then they no longer work. I do alot of trolling with spoons and Mepps 5s and putting on a good swivel above my leader swivels seems to help alot.

Try Popping a large Chug bug, or running a large jidderbug at night. We always had good success at night on White lake, just a hope skip and a jump from Ottawa. One evening, it just got dark, and my buddy was using the 4 3/4" chug bug, he caught 2 bass, one on each hook of the lure. one was 19&...

In the way back past, ive found that i could catch large numbers of Pike on Newboro. but nothing of any size. Ive always caught my larger pike in Indian lake. North of goat Island around the rock pile was alway good, and so was hungry bay, esp when the wind is just right, and using minnows, and bobb...

You must of been using one of those chicken wire, cloaspable baskets. Ive seen snappers around mine, and coons trying to pick the latch. but never had anything get in them. That would really bite loosing walleye to the local snappers.

I just got dont painting up some hammernickle spoons, I started out yellow, then orange, and red on the bottom. all blended together. they sure look pretty. but like most lures, it seems like they are more intended to catch the fishermans eye then the fishs eye. cant wait to try them out next week.

I caught a 30" Channel Cat on a snoopy rod. I cant believe that the all plastic kids rod held up, It took about 30mins to get him in, but if you keep your drag set right, and try not to over do it. i think anything is possible.

I too think its a very heathy lake, and we also been catching so walleye the last couple of years. but i do all my bass...
