Re: Help out those new to fishing.

There is no magic bullet. I HATE the saying but time on the water is a major part of it. Electronics. For some yes, for most they are highly overrated IMO. I use 2 screens, Mapping and Sonar. Now before the advocates of forward facing sonar scoff I bet ya 90% barely use it and even then they don't u...

Re: New anlger here. Need help with swimbaits and jigs

I'd go with a swimbait hook. The weight is under the bait and it will ride smoother versus the nose heavy ball head jig. Like the fellas said, get a quality hook.

Re: Jock River water levels

I can assure you the Jock is a healthy fishery that lots of people enjoy fishing. Walleye, Pike, Carp and even Musky are caught regularly. It is not a great Bass fishery. Not sure what you guys expect of your "fish finders"....In 12 fow your cone is 4 to 6 feet under you at best. You'd hav...

Re: Spring Fish

Record sales of fishing licenses in 2020. Plenty of disposal income for folks that did work and couldn't vacation anywhere. Boats will be sold out for 2021 by April is the forecast. Gear is getting lapped up and production is still trying to catch up to last years orders that were never filled due t...

Welcome to Slushfest 2021. Looking at long term forecast we may never get out of it. Times like these I LOVE that fact I no longer have a permanent hut.

No one out that way that I know of. For what you'd spend on a rental pick up a Pop up shack and you'd be good for years to come.

Re: Looking to purchase a fishing boat

My suggestion on this is if you find one, DO NOT WAIT. It will be gone. Ordering a new boat right now from any manufacturer will likely be late Summer delivery.

Good Luck, it ain't easy right now.

Re: Ice Fishing Perth Area

READ MY LAST SENTENCE. Appreciate your advice on reading the reg's, but obviously I'm quite aware...what did you think I was saying by stating that it seems that I only catch dinks or tanks, so none to eat ?? Obviously, the fish are posed...the old trick of holding them 3 feet out right in front of...

Re: Is It Time Yet!!!

Reports yesterday was 5 inches on Constance Lake. I just got down from my tree stand after a morning hunt. I assure you it's making ice

Have a great season folks! I'll be in a tree stand until Jan 1.
