I've vacationed at Christie many times. Have caught some very nice bass there. Usually manage a 5# largemouth and a 4# smallmouth each year. At one time the walleye fishing was also very good but has declined in recent years. Over all a very nice lake.

Great boat. If possible upgrade to a 24 volt trolling motor. It's easier to have the dealer do it now than later.

Slot limits work for most species and fishing during the spawn (even catch and release), is detrimental to any species.

I've done the salted monnow and herring thing many times. I've found that the preserved minnows ans leaches from cabelas work just as well. There are varios sizes that may be what you're looking for.

Wolfe, Take a look at the Lund 1825 Explorer. Great boat!. same room as the Stratos, somewhat lighter and it move move great for water sking with 125 optimax. I have a 2000 1650 explorerss and feel very safe in most conditions. The 1825SS would be much beetr with your clan.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It has been nice seeing pictures of you fishing with your FOUR boys. The pain will go away, it just takes time. It's been 31/2 years since my "Old Dog" and best friend has been gone and it still hurts, especially when I'm doing some of the things we did toget...

I've had an Aqua View Scout for two years. Down here in Pa. where I fish the water isn't clear enough for it to be of much value. I visit my family in Upstate NY and find it useful on clear water lakes. On a recent trip to Big Gull Lake I got to use it a little each day. It helped me find good fish ...

It would have to be blue gills first and perch second. Almost never for any species on atrificials.

JP, You can launch at Ennis cottages. Last time there (2005) they charged $5.00. The launch is a little rough and loaded with weeds that you'll have to pull off your trailer after you pull out. If the bass are on, it will be worth it. Jim

:?: Their are more jellyfish in the harbor due to th3e warmer weather ,lack of rain and the salinity of the harbor is much greater than a normal year. During years of severe drought conditions I've seen Bluefish as far north as the mouth of the Sassafras River which is the upper portion of the Chesa...
