Heading back up again in the morning - will be scoping out some new areas and confirming the migration pattern. Water draw down starts soon and the current flow changes many things, including the big hen activity level - Probably be able to get two or three more trips in before the season closes in ...

The fish are still there.

Conditions such as you experienced call for small baits and an ultra slow presentation.

Color choice should be natural patterns and if jigging use 1/4 & smaller heads.

Don't worry Joco - it happens to us all one day or another.

Walleye will hit topwaters especially at dusk as they move up into the shallows to feed.

I carry a supply of Bagley Top Guns, a 4" plastic crank with rattles that is an absolute topwater magnet for eyes, best color for me is Rainbow Trout.

Weed beds that edge sand or rock seem to produce best.
