Re: Shirley's Bay 2022 Ice season

Shirley’s has 13” in close and 10-12” out in 10ft of water. Fished 9-10’ the last two nights. Bite was 4-5 pm Saturday and 4:30-5:30 tonight. Caught 3 eyes each day, along with a bunch of pesky perch, no sauger, landed two 15”+ tonight at 4:45 and 4:46pm. Lost my GPS coordinates of the 12’ shelf I f...

Re: Shirleys Bay reports

Out on the Bay tonight 3-5:30 for a quicky. Went out more to try the new 24v Strikemaster. Managed a few 5-6” walleye that took a 3+” minnow on the rise. Managed one keeper sauger. Lots of risers on the Flasher but they just weren’t taking it. Tried every jig and minnow size. Had holes in a straight...

Re: Ice Fishing Perth Area

Black Lake is a beauty of a spot if you can gain access, the deep trough leading up to the river inlet holds eyes and jumbos. Perch are grubby so they go straight back in.

This is not a tourney, there is no cost and only bragging rights are awarded. It is a club event and get together/BBQ afterwards where we tell lies, I mean stories, I mean THE TRUTH about our days experience. There is a wealth of knowledge in the group which is shared at the end of the day along wit...

Try Cabelas Canada www.Cabelas.ca to avoid the additional duty and PST. They are pretty competitive for the big stuff.

Purchase a cottage 30 minutes from a million people and guess what... your gonna have a little boat traffic. Purchase a cottage in Northern Quebec... not so much. No tourneys on Miss this past weekend but we counted over 25 boats.

Nice haul of crappie for sure. Was out on the Miss today from 2-7PM and tried everything except jigging but couldn't get the eyes to cooperate. Marked lots in the 14-18ft range and lots were hugging the bottom so me thinks they were eyes. Moved in for some crap-eyes but could not locate any. Manged ...
