Lots of tillers with rear casting decks. Not much of a deck though, usually no more then 1 'compartment' wide.... but still somewhere to stand or put a seat.

From everything I've heard, there aren't any Muskie in the Big Rideau.

With all the tournes on that lake every year, I don't think there's ever been one caught either. Strange though.

Fish were caught on both flies and spoons. Flasher / fly on the dipsey and spoons off the riggers.

Port Hope Salmon - Aug 9-10

Got out to Port Hope with my Dad on the weekend to see if we could catch some salmon. It's my second time down there with my 14 footer and hopefully it's the last :D Saturday morning we were 6/6 on the flat lake. That would be the only time we were able to fish..... but it was still fun! We stayed i...

I'm with RJ on this one. Setting the hook is the best part of bass fishing IMO and ya gotta love when you set into solid largie weight and double over a flippin stick 8)

I started to flip her in when she thrashed a bit and I saw how big it was..... thought oh boy.... bad idea. Wasn't using braid, had 25lb flouro..... so I stuck my mit in her mo...
