Re: how would you interpret this rule?
Contact the district mnr office and they will tell you how to access the lake. Shaven's lake is a good example in zone 15. It was on the stocking list for splake, even after access was revoked. The access was via a seasonal cottage drive way with no trespassing signs posted at the entrance. I got an...

Re: Muskrat Ice Derby 2017
The regulations state that it is illegal to let any fish that is legal and fit for human consumption go to waste. In the case of slot size and out of season fish that is open to interpretation but personally I would say if you caught 2 over the slot that died or would die and do it again to a third...

Re: Muskrat Ice Derby 2017
That being said just like in the summer during all other tournaments and events if you catch a fish that isn't going to make it you are required by law to keep it anyway. Can you educate the rest of us on specifically where in the regulations it states you are required to keep a fish that isn't goi...

Re: Does Baitcloud work?
Garbage: I have now tried: - During the day perch fishing - Walleye in the morning and in the evening - Burbot at night In total, used 5 balls. Although I have caught fish at my spot, i have NEVER caught a fish within 1 hour of dropping one of these down the hole. I am not saying that it reduced my...

Re: Does Baitcloud work?
From the video's I have seen so far, it seems to just create some curiosity for fish to come and check it out, then they don't do anything like swim for the bubbles or try to eat any of the flakes. I am starting to think Gord is 100% on this, I remember when I I was cleaning the ice off a dead stick...

Does Baitcloud work?
Was at Cabela's last night and seen a display for "Baitcloud" There are a couple of video on u tube of guys using them over on lake simcoe. I would think you would need to drill a hole several feet away from where you are going to jig with a flasher so that the bubbles don't mess with your...

Re: Learn How to Jig for Lake Trout - Free Seminar
Someone needs to sweet talk RJ into doing up a little tutorial. After all, that's one of his specialties for summer Lakers on the Big Rideau. 8) Cheers People should get off their wallets and pay the man for one on one on the water laker lessons... $325 for 4 hrs of one on one seems very reasonable...

I found some thin ice on Saturday night with my atv on Round Lake. Glad the water was only 2 ft deep where it went through.

Re: Shirley's bay 2016
My sons and I hit the ice at Shirley's Bay on Saturday until dark and again late morning on Sunday. On Saturday night we got skunked, but we did manage a few perch yesterday. There seemed to be quite a few around, but the wind, both times out, was nasty. Still a lot of fun out there. That was my fi...
