Thanks bobber. I thought so too. I've been enjoying the searches of the past. Some pretty interesting topics were once discussed here with some good information exchanged involved.

Just doing some forum searches on a few topics and found a few interesting ones. Fishing is timeless, what does a date matter?

I wasn't permitted to go near the channel as a young feller, my mother thought it was "dnagerous". Aside from carp though, it's mostly just pannies and rockbass now.

How many registered to date?

Do they cook them right into the plastic? I never knew that. What brands cook the salt in? Most I use appear to be just dusted in it.

I use the zipper method too. Never any bones to worry about. I know there's a few that hate the subject, but same technique works for muskie too.

Some good tips there for catfish bait. I'm gonna try a few of these baits this week.

catfish, too bad you didn't catch many crappie. Good eating fish. Join the gang at Petrie this winter, good times there.

As for catfish, there's not shortage of them in the Ottawa river. Victoria is a popular spot for beginers and kids.

BigO, I woud have never thought to try that. Too bad it didn't work, it would have been a cheap dual option instead of purchasing a mast.

This was a fun contest. My son filled out a ticket and was really hoping to win that rod. I ended up buying him a combo that was on sale at Canadian Tire.
