If anybody can enlighten me on some good fishing spots no further than 2.5 hours away from Toronto. I fished the muskoka mostly in the past as well as rice lake. Lookin for something new now. Ottawa river is a great spot for fishing despite of a reply i saw earlier. I found out a few good spots on the river. so here it is.. (This is for the Arnprior section of the river) Baie du chat opposite side of the madawaska river will hold bass, as well as Marshall bay north of mouth of the missis...

Boats are versatile and get you to new areas, but when you cue in on a nice offshore spot, man, you're havin drinks and bbq with friends, while pulling out nice bass and pike. Makes for a great day. One of those spots is on muskoka's Gravenhurst

skitter pop in firetiger for calm days, and in windy condition rapala subwalk seems to get it done for bass and especially pike.

Best trolling techniques and lures for walleye in weeds

Hey guys, i fish rice lake a lot.(lots of scattered weed beds) Wanted to know some tips on which tackle and techniques for walleye in this situation would best put some in the boat(while somewhat avoiding pulling 3lbs of weed out everytime) :wink:

X-rap shads in light green and purple finish for the schoals, and second rod equipped with texas rigged gulp alive 3 inch leach for the weed beds and other structure. Both proven for me :evil:
