Re: Port Hope question
AECL is in charge of the cleanup. I know an AECL guy who collects radiological data on the fish. Every fish is well below natural background. It'd have to be or you would hear about it all over the news and there would be a ban on eating them. The general contamination levels in the Port Hope area i...

Carp show this year?
I know it's a bit early, but has anyone heard if the Carp show is on this year? I went for the first time last year and it was awesome! There's a few things I need to stock up on, so if the show is on I'll wait till then. There's not much selection here in Pembroke . . .
Thanks!
Thanks!

Fish in the rain
This is a true story (cough) told by a friend of a friend. So I gets up early Saturday morning as planned, pack up all the gear and the dog, hook up the boat, and just as I was pulling out of the driveway the sky opens up with a big crack of thunder and lightning and a torrential downpour. Bummer. S...

Ended up getting some fast sink sinking tip before I read the last few posts. I didn't notice if it was II or III. Says it's supposed to go to 15' and I figured with the leader/tippet I should be able to at least get in the neighborhood. I've got a couple of ancient old white/olive feather streamers...

Quebec brookies - HELP
I just started fishing the Quebec side this season. I've joined an angler's association and tried a couple of the small stalked lakes in the south western area of the Outaouais region several times now. I managed to land a couple of small brookies and one small splake on spinning gear, but nothing o...

Black River sign
There is a sign posted at the mouth of the Black River near Waltham. It's in French, and unfortunately I'm not bilingual. Would anyone be able to tell me what the sign says? I have a QC license but I want to make sure its not a sanctuary or something before I head up there. Thanks in advance for you...
