Re: port hope salmon run
I went with some friends last year (we fished downstream of the bridge from Dexter. Unsure if this the same area you are going to. We fished below and down from the river as you can fish there after dark and there were no crowds or anyone in sight. We did very well with everyone hooking many and kee...

Re: Salmon River NY Advice
Hey gang, just wanted to post an update on this thread. We went, we fished, we caught! So we went out and fished the river in Dexter NY, most of the time either under the bridge or below it. It's an interesting spot as you can fish after dark if you are downstream of the bridge. We fished hard for 1...

Re: Crotch Lake Fishing
Great post and story. I have been going up to crotch at least once a year for the past 5 years. It has to be one of the most beautiful lakes around here and we always get the same boat in site which gives us privacy and peace. I have never caught alot of walleye up there...ever, I know of no one tha...

Salmon River NY Advice
Hi everyone, A group of friends and I are heading to NY to fish the salmon river in a few weeks and I wanted to ask for some advice. It appears that we would be mainly targetting Chinooks, but coho and steelhead could also be in the river at the same time. I have fished salmon rivers on the west coa...

Crotch
very, very scenic lake, went there twice last year (June and August) water was low, but I did not notice too many really shallow spots, had a lake chart. I have heard and I would agree that it is an inconsistent lake, not alot of fish and a huge lake so many spots. We had a bit of luck (couple of ey...

kemptville creek
have only caught bass and panfish in the creek, but I'm usually with the kids. Last summer I saw a very large pike cruising the pads right in town, by the parking lot of the gym. good luck and post on your success, some of us will certainly appreciate it!

I could not help but comment on this thread. As some background info, I have recently moved here from Calgary, prior to that Vancouver, prior to that prince george, all different sized cities, all varities of fishing. And I was on discussion boards like this in all of the areas. I don't think I have...
