spend the $350 and but an AGM technology battery,mine run my 36 volt MK 101 for 18 hours continuously,w/out noticing any power loss

Most trolling batteries ,27/31 group,should be charged at 10-15 amps, not 2 amp trickle,

You cant mount a di ducer thru hull, it has to go on transom, j/plate or trolling motor

I made that little bracket to make it easier to level the ducer, it's a bird SI / DI unit, they only work well up to 6-7 mph , so it's out of the water on plane, but my other is epoxied in the bilge and works fine to 75 mph before it starts to lose bottom lock. http://i1118.photobucket.com/albums/k6...

Carpenters finishing nails for weight, cut em to length for weight needed and insert in worm ends or right in center, or you can get sinking worms that are loaded with more salt than normal for added weight.

I've seen plenty of old MG's and MK's go up in smoke and melt wires from bow to stern, my 60 amp breaker on my 36v system is wired right at the battery feeding the 6 guage hot wire to the bow plug.
