Is it necessary to use downriggers at this time of year. Were your catches with downriggers. Direction would be appreciated.

Your daily fishing story for carp and catfish is very similar to my routeen. However I am not catching many fish. This week I only caught one catfish. Can you share some insight as to what you are using for bait. I have been fishing early morning and using beef liver. Any advise would be appreciated.

As a new member, I really enjoy the information that is being shared on this site. My friend and I purchased fishing kayaks in mid summer and have fished most of the lakes north of Kingston to Westport. Bass fishing has been great and in early September I caught a 30lb muskie (successfully released)...
