Steelhead fishing

My buddy and I have decided to shift our annual Fall Steelhead run from Pulaskie to the Georgian Bay area. Does anyone have any experiences with the guides and or outfitters who work the various rivers that flow into the bay?

Fishing the Credit

After years of going up to the Sault for fall Salmon fishing on the fly my buddy and I are looking for a new to us fall fishing location. He suggested the Credit River and I've seen some old postings of good fishing on the river all at least 5 years old and fishing in Mississauga doesn't sound "...

Re: Fishing the AuSable

I'm working on posting a couple of pics, new Apple computer and I'm still learning. If you get the chance take time to wet a line in the AuSable, this time of year the trout fishing is great. Access is no problem and 2 Fly shops in Wilmington to supply local info.

Fishing the AuSable

Just got back from our annual trip to Wilmington. Fishing was tough, got there Wednesday late afternoon and hit the river running on Thursday morning. Then it started to rain, it rained all day and all night. This morning the river was a raging torrent, if you know the view from The Hungry Trout you...

Winter Steelhead

For the last 5 years I've been going down to Pulaski for January Steelhead fishing, I've always wondered if there were rivers on the Ontario side that had winter runs. Can anybody give me an idea where to go? My fishing bud comes from London On. so surely there must be somewhere between the two of us.

Felt bottoms boots in NY

I fished the Aux Sable on June 4, 5 with a guide, wore my felt boots with no problem. Had a great time caught 5 Browns and a Rainbow. The fly shops are pushing the rubber bottomed boots but as far as I could tell there was no ban on felt.
