Re: Multi-species Lake Ontario Action!!
Can’t believe the size of some of those fish…it must be crazy to bring them in. They look wicked powerful.

Re: Wolfe’s Still Kickin’
Thanks!
All is well with the family. Had both boys at the cottage with us at the same time last month which was so nice.
Hoping all is well with you, too, and that you’re getting to wet a line more often than not.

I think flipping and pitching plastics is my favourite way to fish bass. Nice ones!

Wolfe’s Still Kickin’
1346CA53-6DDC-480D-986C-2B64A5CA7DD8.jpeg A long overdue “Howl-O” from Wolfe, for any old time Hawk Talkers who might remember me! Still wetting a line when real life allows and still loving it. No memorable fish yet this year, but some nice, new memories made on the water with the folks I love bes...

Re: Here's ONE for FUN What's your Largest Panfish caught?
Panfishing is under-appreciated! Wolfe Lake has shown us some fantastic pannies over the years, sunfish and bluegills that are so slaboliciously huge that you can hardly get your hand around them. Rockbass are freak huge here as well (just ask RJ, lol). Sometimes when things are slow in the gamefish...

Oh my gawd — that fish is massive! It’s bowing the guy’s legs, haha! I’d be doing a jig, hardly disappointed!

Re: The Value of Large Walleye
I think it really depends on where the research is done. Research from Lake Erie where the fish grow fast and have abundant food source isn't really applicable to our local waters, to a point. I bet those big girls are still very viable spawners out in the big water. Locally I do think the larger f...

Re: The Value of Large Walleye
Great post Margie This is a debate that has proponents on both sides. Dr Bruce Tufts, our local expert (Queens University) weighs in within this article... http://www.outdoorcanada.ca/Why-you-should-always-always-ALWAYS-release-big-fish I enjoy a good feed of fish once in a while, but the "Big...

Re: The Value of Large Walleye
Hey guys...thanks for your insight and thoughts on this topic. I know where I stand based on science and my own understanding of the research (and, in my opinion, common sense)... but am also not so smug to realize we can all continue to learn new things. Just interested in what others believe and a...

Re: Big Bucket
Thx everyone. It was an exceptionally nice largie. Nice largemouth, Margie. I remember the years following the draining of the golf course pond into the lake. There were no largemouth in Wolfe prior to that. We had some big smallmouth in the spring on our walleye opener, of course quickly released. ...
