Went there last week troll and jigs all day till dark and even try the river a few hours,got 2 small walleye and 2 small perch.I wouldn't waste my time there.

Fishing lac-ste-Marie

Hi,i just bought a cottage on lac-ste-Marie and was wondering what kind of fishing is in that lake .I went out 4 times for a few hours each and all i caught was a few smallmouth and pearch,no walleye i heard there was walleye in that lake.Should i go on the river to catch them how deep should i fish...

Small world,Dr, Joanise use to be my family Dr.I used to be a meat cutter at the the grocery store in Smoth Rock (Gravel )
The Remi River would be a good spot to fish too, u can access by Gurney Rd and fish off shore the roads is rough, hope u have a truck.

Rufus Lake lodge they have boat rentals,overnight camping ,great fishing for Walleye and Pike.Its aprox.1 and half hour from Kap. but its worth the drive
you have access to 5 lakes,good luck...Wally from Kap.

Thanks for all the info,its the first time fishing on the quebec side.NO LIVE MINNOWS EVEN ICE FISHING.What do u do

Hi guys,I just bought a property on Lac-ste-marie and was reading the fishing reg....If i understand right you can't fish with live minnows in the summer but dead ok.In the winter u can fish with dead or live minnows.In 2017 no more dead or live in the summer but winter still ok.What about the live ...

What zone is Lac Ste-Marie and what are the new regulations ,how far can u go up the river by boat.Can u fish with dead
minnows ,live worms.Any lake trout in that lake......Thanks for any info.

Thanks for the info Seaweed,I heard from a cottage owner there was walleye in that lake,i doubt that very much.
I'm looking to buy a property on the quebec side with descent fishing bass,trout,pike,walleye,etc. any suggestions
which area to look ....Wally
