Lower Madawaska Prov. Park
I am thinking about doing a 1 or 2 day kayak trip in 2 weeks with myself or 1 friend. I am looking to fish pickeral, or trout and do some kayak'ing. Little portaging as I have a separated collorbone that it not yet fully healed and don't know about carrying a kayak for many KMs. One option is Algonq...

Casting from shore? Go buy some syringes from Sobeys pharmacy...2.50 for 10. You want to blow the worms up so they float. Then, put a small sinker 3-4 feet up from the worm and cast out. 'Bows look up because o the position of their eyes in their head. Trolling; I was told worm harnesses and gang tr...

I was hoping that with a rod weight of 10-25 pounds it would be stiff enough to troll spoons and plugs. As for the graphite vs fibreglass iss...

9' Rod Question
I am hoping to buy a 9' Fenwick rod; Canadian Methods, 10-25lb weight. I am hoping to use it for trolling; long lining lakes early in the season and off the downrigger during mid-summer. This rod is a spinning rod and is lebelled as a Steelhead / Salmon rod. I know this rod is generally marketed as ...

For pickeral; a must are worm harnesses in firetiger, red/white, orange/white; Lindy makes some good ones, 2 hooks with mono and cheap. Also some Erie Deiries tipped with a minnow; hook through mouth, out gills, and into belly. Also jointed shad rap in crayfish, firetiger, and normal shad raps in cr...

he best conditions for brookies in the bogie...finding a lake not accessible by truck. We have got some on the roadside lakes; the odd one here and there. It's the back lakes that get you the fish...then again; we got skunked the other day to so...ice-out brookies is also a difficult task in itself....
