Re: Muskrat Turnie
For the first time in a long time, Muskrat didn't hate us on tournament day. We go two envelopes with a 4th place finish and #1 big fish with a 4.44 smallie. It doesn't happen to us often but It's kind of fun when you're tossing back 3 lbers because they're not big enough..... :D Excellent, congrat...

Re: Help with fishing strategy
Yes, that is what I mean by slowing down. I call it "Slow Stitching". It takes what seems like an eternity to get it back to the boat. I also will bottom bounce a spinner baits. Cast out and let it drop to the bottom. When it contacts bottom or heavy weeds, I'll jerk/rip it back up a few f...

Re: Help with fishing strategy
Wow, that's a loaded question. If you can't get to where the fish are, that is a whole different problem? How long were you out there? Did you try searching for similar spots elsewhere? If you think that you are going to find fish at every outing on the same spots, it's not going to happen. If I'm o...

Re: Any one use the new Chronarch Ci4?
A few years back, I got rid of my shimano reels. (Chronarch, core, and curados) Over time, I purchased 2 (gen2) Revo' one MGX and 5 Lew's (4 Tour Pros and a TLP) I tried the Chronarch CI4 at Paddletales spooled with 65lbs braid on a froggin rod. I held back on my first cast for fear of backlash. The...

Re: Is this really Fish-Hawks Moderator ??
Little known fact: Paul used to smoke... and watching me catch two nickles and a bunch of 4 pounders Saturday... he was craving a DuMaurier. Ahhhhhh yes. du Maurier cigarettes. Who could ever forget this song. “Fumez du Maurier, elle est si agréable, du Maurier la cigarette de bon goût. Douceur et ...

You're just saying that so you can get a big discount on a new Shimano CI4 bait-caster.TheMaverick wrote:

I owned a 40HP Honda and I remember being told the same thing about the prop.

Re: Prop repair
Wow...... $169.00 (unless it's Stainless), is on the expensive side.
At that price, you may as well buy a new one.

Re: Motor Guide Electric motor bearing repair
J & S Service Station in Ottawa are authorized Minn Kota Service Center.
You might try giving them a call and ask if they would do work on Motor Guide?
It cost nothing to ask and they are closer to home. Their number is (613) 841-6715

Re: Why the big secret?
I don't get the secret thing either. :| I don't fish for walleye but if I did, I would not hesitate in giving you the information. 8) I fish for Bass and I have a hard time with them. Anyway, I'm with the FlyMaker on this one. Do the research and learn about the behavior of the fish you are lo...

Re: Craig has now joined the Six Pound Club
Excellent Craig......
A five pounder will give you a real good tug and a decent fight; but a six pounder is something else.
I caught mine on a 7" worm with a 2/0 wide gap gamatsu hook. Got it in the boat just in time. The hook was almost straightened out.

Re: Muskrat lake
I'm not sure i want to drive down to pre fish or fish same as last year.... Smallies We fished the Muskrat twice with BAA. Always targeted Smallies. Always pre-fished one day one week before. During the 2011pre-fish (calm and no wind) we must have caught 20 keepers. (Mostly on top water early morni...
