Re: Perch - Looking for place to fish them
Lower Rideau is another good spot for perch. Access of yacht club road and head towards the city of shacks.

Re: Okuma Parts/Service
Thanks guys,
I will try calling Paddletales and maybe Bennett's to see if either of them can help me out. If not I will give Rocky's a shout-I wouldn't mind keeping it local.
Thanks again

Okuma Parts/Service
Does anyone know where I can get parts for my Okuma Helious baitcaster in the Ottawa or Kingston area? The palm side cover is at the bottom of the lake and I would like to have the reel serviced before this years season. I tried contacting Okuma, but had no luck.
Thanks for your help

Breaking Down a New Lake
Hello Everyone, My dad and I are heading to a "new" lake this weekend in search of some crappies. We have fished for walleye a couple times at this lake in the spring/summer/fall and have done OK, however we are hoping to take a crack at some crappies through the ice. Apparently the lake h...

Re: Mr Buddy Heater- Preventing Tanks freeze up
I used a Mr buddy heater for the past 3 seasons with the small propane tank. The small tanks always freeze especially when they start to get low. You also waste a lot of propane. I would suggest buying the adapter hose 5.5 ft and a fuel filter for the buddy heater they sell them at princess and use...

Mr Buddy Heater- Preventing Tank freeze up
I was given a Mr. Buddy heater to me for Christmas this year. I have had it out a couple times and have found that the propane tanks seem to freeze up in about an hour or 2. I usually sit the heater right on the ice, which is probably my number one problem' but i was wondering if anyone has come up ...

Re: Rideau Ferry Yacht Club
I was out on Saturday and Sunday. It is still open in the main channel towards Stonehouse Island, however it isn't stopping people from driving out there. I walked out Saturday about 0.5km from the yacht club and there was 12-14"(+/-) of ice and drove out to the same spot last night... kinda if...

Re: Congrats to Rob Jackson
Thanks for the link to Moosebunks Gar post Jimmy. I agree its a great write up but what does this have to do with Jeff and RJ's article in OOD?
I would hope your intension would not be to stir the pot as there already is enough daytime television worthy drama on sites like this.

Re: Cold feet
They work great, if been wearing them for over 5 years while duck hunting, deer hunting and ice fishing. They wick away sweat, dont itch like wool and are hyperallergenic :D . My parents own an alpaca farm in Perth and have a small store right at the farm. Here is there website: http://www.alpacafar...
